I’m Patrick Rangeley-Wilson, a recent graduate in Film and Moving Image Production from Norwich University of the Arts (2016 to 2019) where I specialised in cinematography, editing and documentary. Behind the lens I’m experienced in the use of DSLRs, Compact System Cameras and cinema cameras, shoulder rigs and SteadiCams. In front of the screen I am experienced in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X and Lightroom. I have some experience of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
I’ve been interested in both photography and video for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved experimenting with the way that the world looks different when viewed through a camera. In particular I’m fascinated with how the subject seems different both when removed from its environmental context and when frozen in time. What do you notice in an image that you might not if you were there at the time?
